To announce the arrival of my next novel,
Dead Girl Diaries, I thought it would be fun to do a book trailer in the spirit of movie
trailers. “Spirit” is the perfect word, for the novel is
narrated by the ghost of Maxine, a young woman left for dead late at
night at the shoulder of a lonely highway.
The book is equally about
another kind of spirit, the human spirit, its tenacity and
vulnerability – and the beauty of life, the lushness of everyday
detail.
